Jason Short founded Short and Sons to help save self-employed London Taxi drivers time and money on accounting costs.

 

In the summer of 2017 Short and Sons was born, and we took on our first clients in Christmas 2017. As of Christmas 2023, we now serve over 500 small businesses and landlords across the south of England. We aim to make our clients' interaction with HRMC frictionless and as stress-free as possible to exceed client expectations while keeping accounting costs fair. Our team currently consists of Jason Short, Lewis Chapman and Roger Spice.

 

Jason founded Short and Sons and has delivered 1000s of returns to HMRC over the last six-plus years. He went to Isleworth and Syon School, then studied business and finance at West Thames College. Later in his career, he completed Accounting exams with AAT and is Certified with FreeAgent and Quickbooks to supply their software to clients. Jason will soon be completing Payroll with the ICB to add to his extensive accounting exam list.

 

Lewis Chapman is an Accounting graduate from Brunel University and helps streamline the business and continue our mission of saving clients time and money whilst exceeding expectations. Since joining SAS in September 2022, he has gained experience by helping 100s of self-employed clients with their tax issues and has also completed practice certificates with FreeAgent, Quickbooks and Xero.

 

Roger Spice boasts 45 years of accounting experience and has transitioned from paper accounting to computer to cloud. He is adept in using online accounting software such as FreeAgent, Quickbooks, Xero and Dext. Rogers' experience and technical skills make him our very own in-house accounting guru, and he is currently making our limited company management much more efficient.

 

Short and Sons use no expense-spared class-leading Tax software that makes their tech stack formidable. This deep understanding of various software allows us to recommend the optimal solution for each client's unique needs, free from any software-specific bias.

 

Jason Short grew up in Isleworth and now lives in Staines Upon Thames. If you also live/work in Staines, you might see the Short and Sons car passing by, it is identifiable with the number plate TW18 TAX. Feel free to talk to us or grab a card if you see our car parking up!
